Track workout: Get fit and healthy for free while getting your Vitamin D

Today's workout:

-20 minute warm up

-6 x 1200's

-20 minute cool down

I have been a runner for most of my life and the track is a place where I am in my comfort zone. Each workout isn't "fun" but I enjoy the success that I feel when I am finished. However, running is not fun for everyone. Making exercise enjoyable is key for sustainability. Find something you enjoy and stick with it! Running is cost free and allows me to get my vitamin D for the day. Challenge yourself and go to your local track. If you enjoy walking, try walking at a comfortable pace for a lap and then switch to a brisk walk for a lap. If you enjoy jogging, jog for 200 meters and then run at a faster pace for 200 meters. If you don't live near a track, run a block and walk a block in your neighborhood. Interval training is a great way to increase your heart rate and shake up your workout! If you are looking for fun and exciting ways to spice up your workout, please let me know. Also, if you are in the Boston area and are looking for a running buddy I would love to join you! Find an activity you enjoy and implement it into your daily routine. You won't regret it!
